Cinque Terre: five quaint towns, very touristy, the best pesto
Make sure to try the pesto! It's on pizza, pasta, toast, etc. & it's delicious!!
Nessun Dorma in Manarola: Go for happy hour drinks and pesto on toast w/ views above Manarola at sunset
Belforte in Vernazza: this was quite possibly the best meal I've ever had. We got trofie w/ pesto & trofie w/ bolognese and the greek salad. The fish cooked in salt looked superb as well! I wish we could've eaten more of this food. It was so good!
The towns of Cinque Terre are accessible by hiking or boating, neither of which I tried, both of which I think would be fun. Take a pesto making class at Nessun Dorma, hang at the beaches, and relax.
For that famous shot of Manarola: hike up to the cemetery and you'll find the brick arches, which make a perfect built-in frame for photos.
